I showed a couple of people at my weekly bible study my first angel and a bunch of people wanted them, so last night I was up adding hair to angels until 2 a.m.
Ahem, I will say that again-
2 a.m.
I had to make 11 angels, 2 snowmen, and 1 lamb. In a week. That's a lot of crocheting! Here's what the sheep looks like. My own pattern, created at midnight. *Pats self on back*
I made around $80. Not bad, huh? I charged 5 dollars for each item. Was that a good price?
P.S. Sorry about the bad photos, it was 2 a.m. after all.
Also, I joined a blog called "The Bridge Project." Sandy is 'rallying the troops' to make hats, mittens, and scarves for some homeless men living under a bridge in cold, cold, cold Ohio.
If you can even just make one item, I'm sure Sandy would appreciate it. I am making a couple of scarves.
Oh! And let me refer you to a really cool blog I discovered: The Toy Society!
Basically, you "drop" handmade toys somewhere, someone finds it, and contacts Bianca, who then posts on the blog that that item is "found." It's a really cool way of spreading some joy with whoever finds it. They walk with a spring in their step for the rest of the day. How rad is that?

The angels are sooooooo cute! So's the lamb. I think the price is great, glad you made some money with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the plug, much appreciated. I'm taking over some more warm items to my sister-in-law today. It's really cold today and we're expecting freezing rain and snow later.
Hugs, have a great day; pop in for a visit...I left the light for ya.

No problem on after The Holidays, there will still be a need and it will still be cold.
ReplyDeleteThanks bunches.
Sandy
it's an on going project, and will take us some time to reach the goal of 100 each for hats and scarfs.
