Hats, Patterns, and OTBOE

I bet you are going OTBOE? What? It stands for Only the Best of Etsy.
Go check it out! We are rockin' over there.

I also have added some more patterns to my etsy shop, so you can make some cute amigurumi!

I made some hats for my cousins: Samantha, Caleb, and Max. No, not for Christmas; Their birthdays are in February. Yeah, all of them. AND the 3 of them are the youngest in the family- They are turning 4, 2, and 1 respectively. Crazy, right?
Hat
My little brother modeled the hats- he said if he had to wear the pink one, he didn't want his face to show and that I have to knit him a hat, too.

Dyeing of the Fibery Sort

Hand-dyed Fiber
I love how this turned out! Cream/pink/blue...
Hand-dyed Yarn 2
I love how this turned out, too. Only a bit of it is dyed bright orange. I can't wait to see how it looks re-skeined and balled and knitted up.
Hand-dyed Yarn 1
I made this with the leftover orange from the yarn above and from an extra bag of red kool aid. I think it turned out lovely, and I like how the pink peeps out from in between the light orange.

Fairy and Halloween Wreath

Yes, I have been crocheting. Here's what I've made.
Halloween Wreath
An amigurumi Halloween wreath! It has a ghost, spider, spider web, candy corn, bat, and a witch!
Crocheted Fairy
A little crocheted fairy! This is basically my angel pattern, but I never wrote it down. So now it is a fairy pattern. :]
And... I've made a scarf with pockets, and I've spun a couple more Phat Fiber samples.
I'll take pictures of them for my next post.

Oh my poor nelected blog.

I will write a nice, long post to soothe you. I have an idea for a weekly (or bi-weekly) post. It will be called Can You Spin It? I think it will be fun. I need to interview someone for the "weekly" interview on Saturday. Now for some pictures...
Handspun samples
I spun some of the samples from July, then plied them. Then I realized I love plying. :]
September yarn samples
Speaking of samples, here are my yarn samples for the September Phat Fiber Box. The theme is Legends, Folklore, and Fairy tales. The colorways are called: Cinderella's Blush and Rosa: The woodland fairy.
ScarfAnother beret
I started a scarf... and I made another beret! Seriously, I am addicted to this pattern.
Before I go, I wanted to mention a really cute etsy shop I found recently. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5602388 Seriously adorable!
Oh, and if you have a etsy shop, I want to interview you! Leave a comment with a link to your etsy.

Another beret + yarn + cupcake!

Yarn 1
I went yarn shopping and found these deals! The two skeins on top were 5o cents, the bottom skein a dollar.
Yarn 4
These were not a deal... $9 bucks a skein! But it's 100% wool, so soft and cozy. I'm planning on dyeing it.
Yarn 2
These were $3, and I bought them as an alternative to Wool Ease Thick n' Quick. This stuff is softer and cheaper!
Yarn 3
This yarn is so squishy! Love it. And it was a steal at a dollar a skein!
Cupcake
I made a cupcake! My business is ALMOST 1 year old!
Beret
I made another beret... This pattern is so cute and fast! <3
Oh, hop over to the phat fiber blog to participate in this fantastic giveaway!

Beach Crafting...

Here's some of the stuff I made while at the beach...
Beret TopBeretCloseup Beret
I made a cabled beret using the pattern "Speedy Cable Beret."Cute, right? :] I cabled without a cable needle! It made it alot quicker and easier! I highly recommend learning that technique.
Mama Cotton and Baby Candy- Cotton Candy Amigurumi
So I added eyes and swirls to my cotton candy, and I made him a mama! I think that ups the cuteness by about 75% don't you? ;] They are available on etsy, and the pattern is available on ravelry!
Handspun Yarn
I spun some yarn on my wheel (LOVE!) Left to right, tussah silk from strikemyfancy.etsy.com (amazing stuff!), mohair/bamboo from My Fair Yarn (drafts like a dream!), and milk fiber from naturalobsessionsfiber.com (did you hear me? MILK FIBER! fantastic).
